Aladdin Flies In To Cinemas Leaving Me Speechless

After months of anticipation, Aladdin flew on to our screens last weekend and my little Peter Pan and I couldn’t wait to see it! Saturdays are always busy with Quinn attending Stagecoach and Academy of Expressive Arts, so we were all looking forward to a restful Sunday and a trip to the cinema.

ShopDisney recently released an array of Aladdin merchandise and last Saturday the first one hundred guests to make a purchase of £15 or more in the Disney Store, received an Aladdin themed key. What made the key so special was that with each one gifted, £3 was donated to Make A Wish by Disney Worldwide Services. Quinn has one Disney Store key that he received when he opened the Oxford Street Store with Mickey and Minnie Mouse on their 90th anniversary last year. He really wanted the Aladdin key to further his collection, so we made an early start to our day so that we could visit our local store.

Quinn had some gift vouchers left over from Christmas and knew exactly what he wanted to spend those on! The first thing he picked up was a Forky Talking Action Figure which was £14. Quinn loves Toy Story and has developed a love for one of its newest characters from Toy Story 4 that will be arriving on our screens June 21st.

If you know Quinn, you will know that he loves his figures so his next purchase was the Aladdin, Jasmine and Genie Hasbro Character Dolls which were £5.99 each. These collectable figures are so cute and he hasn’t stopped playing with them since he brought them home! Because we had spent more than £10, the Magical Wish Making Lamp was available to purchase for £6.99 instead of £12, so of course we bought that too! We recieved our key and also a poster which Quinn was delighted with!

On Sunday afternoon we saw Aladdin and wow were we blown away! I was expecting the movie to be wonderful but it was actually incredible, it exceeded all my expectations and more! In my opinion the cast was spot on, the effects were mesmerising and the costuming perfect, just magical! Quinn and I laughed so much, my face hurt from smiling and I only cried twice! Aladdin is definitely my favourite Disney live action movie with an amazing soundtrack to go along with it and which I will be listening to until I can see the movie again.

Have you seen Aladdin yet? I would love to hear your thoughts!
