Festive Fun At The Friends Of ANCHOR Silent Disco Walking Tour

Last night Quinn and I were kindly invited to the VIP launch of the Friends of ANCHOR Silent Disco Adventure Tour at the Aberdeen Christmas Village. Friends of ANCHOR is a local cancer charity based in the North East of Scotland and are this years chosen charity for Aberdeen’s Christmas Village, which is organised by Aberdeen Inspired.

I had never been to a silent disco prior to last night so although I had an idea, I really did not know what to fully expect. Quinn and I were each given a set of headphones at the start of the tour by the lovely Lauren from Jeff and Lauren in the Morning over on Northsound 1. Lauren started our tour off, before handing us over to our tour guide from Silent Adventures, the team that brought you this year’s Edinburgh Fringe Silent Disco. Our tour guide led us around the village for half an hour of music, dancing and festive fun! Each time I took in my surroundings, everyone involved in the tour were dancing with the biggest smiles on their faces! The most magical thing happens once you have those headphones on, you dance like no one is watching! Both Quinn and I had so much fu, we did not stop laughing throughout! There were some Disney hits of course which made our night! I would definitely recommend the tour for an evening of family fun to get you in the festive mood, all while raising funds for a precious charity.

Tours take place in the Aberdeen Christmas Village and surrounding area and tickets can be pre booked by emailing info@friendsofanchor.org. A limited number of tickets can also be purchased on the day from the ticket booth at the Christmas Village. The attraction is suitable for ages five and over, but babies in arms are welcome at no charge. Unfortunately prams cannot be accommodated for on the tour.

Tickets are priced at £10 per adult, £7.50 per child (age 5 to 12) or £25 for a family of four (two adults and two children). By supporting this festive, fundraising campaign, you will be supporting the thousands of people affected by cancer or haematology diagnosis, who receive treatment in the North East of Scotland. All profits go directly to Friends of ANCHOR which is amazing!

My Disney Parks Style For Our Upcoming Walt Disney World Trip

With my little Peter Pan’s outfits all set to go, it was now my turn to pack for our Walt Disney World trip. I have a tendency to over pack, so for this trip I decided to set myself a challenge of only taking the minimal essentials. Mickey ears come under the essentials though right? And I couldn’t wait to pair my favourite ears with some new and old outfits. My Disney parks style is very girly, very pink but also very comfortable. I love to wear smock dresses and tulle skirts with t-shirts as they aren’t too heavy for spending your day in the humidity and in the heat that often feels like you are standing on the surface of the sun! Here are some of my favourite outfits that I am bringing with me this trip.

I fell in love with this Asos dress as soon as I saw it and thought it would be perfect paired with these gorgeous Tinker Bell inspired ears that were gifted to me by the wonderful Enchanting Ears.

I wanted something cute and colourful to match these adorable Dumbo inspired ears which were also gifted by Enchanting Ears and I was so happy to find this rainbow dress in New Look.

I really love denim dresses and I can’t wait to wear this Primark dress and ears together on one of our Epcot days. The Spaceship Earth inspired ears and scrunch were both gifted by Enchanting Ears.

Millennial Pink is my favourite colour of ears that the Disney parks has released recently and I thought this H&M skirt and Primark t-shirt would be cute to pair with them.

I wore this outfit briefly on our last trip and loved it, so I decided to pack it again! The dress is from New Look, the t-shirt is from Primark and the ears were gifted by Ears for Days OC.

I’ve had this Primark tee for a while now and have just never gotten round to wearing it. I thought it looked cute paired with this New Look denim skirt which is one of my favourite holiday skirts (I wear it all the time!) and the Disney Parks Potion Purple ears.

These Mickey Mouse shorts are a Disney Parks staple for me. They are so comfortable and can be worn with just about anything! They were from Zara I have paired them with this Jasmine t-shirt I picked up in Primark as I loved it and the Disney Parks Millennial Pink ears.

These Cinderella inspired ears were kindly gifted to me by Esposito ears and I love how they complete this cute little outfit! The skirt is by TU at Sainsbury’s and the t-shirt is from Primark.

Last but not least, I chose to pack this Rapunzel inpired outfit. The top is from Red Bubble, the skirt is from Primark and I finished the outfit with these Disney Parks Potion Purple ears.

Do you have any wardrobe staples that you always pack for your Walt Disney World trips? I would love to hear all about your Disney Style!

The Toys Are Back For Toy Story 4

This weekend Toy Story 4 was released in cinemas and my little Peter Pan and I couldn’t wait to see it! Having slept on it, I am now ready to share my thoughts (and emotions!) on the sequel to the much loved franchise.

Yesterday we went to see it and it was everything I was expecting and more! I had goosebumps from start to finish and I am so glad we got the opportunity to see everyone’s favourite toys back in action again.

Quinn and I both loved Forky, he was so fun and a genius addition to the Toy Story family. Bo Peep definitely stood out as a fierce role model and Gabby Gabby had a side to her I didn’t expect, but nevertheless her and the Dummie’s were terrifying! Duke Caboom was the perfect addition, Quinn and I both loved him also and Ducky and Bunny were the new characters you never knew you needed in your life!

A few times throughout the movie I really choked up, particularly in a scene with Bonnie, If you have seen it already, I am sure you will understand why! The ending of the movie of course broke my heart and literally drained me. Who knew toys could give us all the feels?

To celebrate the release of Toy Story 4, Shop Disney UK kindly sent Quinn and I the cutest Woody and Bo Peep soft toys. These are available for £12.50 each when you spend £10 or more online or in store (full price £20 each). We can’t wait to see what new Toy Story products will be available from July 1st. I have a feeling Quinn will love it all!

Toy Story 4’s release has got me so excited for our Walt Disney World trip next week! Have you been to see the movie yet? Or are you going soon? I would love to hear your thoughts!

Magical Ears For Our Upcoming Walt Disney World Adventure

Yesterday My Little Peter Pan and I were lucky enough to receive some magic mail from the lovely Jessica over at Enchanting Ears. Enchanting Ears by Jess is a small Etsy store that offers a wide variety of Bespoke ears, bows and scrunchies. Jessica kindly sent me some of her wonderful products for our upcoming Walt Disney Word trip and so not to be left out, Quinn also received a very special pair of ears! Today I am going to detail what came in our package and where you can go to get your hands on them too.

First up probably the most adorable ears I have ever seen, I mean look at these Dumbo inspired ears! They are unbelievably soft and cute and I can’t wait to pair them with an outfit for our trip.

I am so very excited to wear these Tinker Bell inspired ears, because as you may have guessed she is my favourite Disney character! I am in love with everything millennial pink so these ears definitely fit into my wardrobe well.

Quinn received these gorgeous Peter Pan inspired ears which of course suit his personality to a tee. The fabric is just beautiful and he is very much looking forward to wearing them on our trip.

My favourite pair of ears I have at the moment are a Spaceship Earth inspired pair from Enchanting Ears, so I was delighted to receive this scrunchie to match along. They receive so many compliments when I wear them in the parks and I’m sure the scrunchie won’t be any different!

Last but certainly not least I received this beautiful hair bow, again made with the prettiest park inspired fabric. As you may know I adore hair bows and wear one each and every day, so this bow will be very loved.

I am very excited to start planning my outfits now that our countdown to Walt Disney World is so close! You can check out some more magical Enchanting Ears by Jess designs here on Etsy. Which pair of ears were your favourite?

Dumbo Flies In To Cinemas

Disney’s newly anticipated live action movie Dumbo flew in to cinemas worldwide this week. Quinn and I went on a Mother’s Day trip to the cinema this past Sunday and fell in love with Dumbo all over again. Tim Burton’s take on the 1941 classic keeps the Disney spirit, but adds a darker side to the storyline. We cried tears of happiness over the bond between Dumbo and his mother and of course sadness too. The strong message of family and friendship it gave reiterated why we love Disney so much and I can’t wait until its released on Blu Ray so we can watch it again.

To celebrate the release of Dumbo, shopDisney kindly gifted us the most adorable plush. He is super soft and cosy, so much so that Quinn has cuddled him to sleep each night since he arrived! To mark the occasion, the plush is available at shopDisney for £12.50 when you spend £10 online or in-store.

Have you seen Dumbo yet? I would love to know your thoughts!
