A Magical Disney Christmas – Spending The Holidays At The Walt Disney World Resort

The Walt Disney World Resort is nothing short of magical during the Holiday season. Last year we visited during Christmas and New Year and loved every minute of our special trip, so much so we are heading back to do it all again this year! Its often stated that Disney World is crazy crowded during the Holidays. That may be the case at times, but with a little planning your trip can be just as, if not more magical than any other month of the year. With our trips countdown nearing the double digits, I thought I would share our experience of spending the Holidays at Disney.

Our trip didn’t start off as planned. Our flight to London was delayed, causing us to miss our connection to Miami, so we had to stop over in London for the night. Needless to say Quinn was heartbroken. He knew he was going to see his precious Peter Pan at Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party that next evening, and our delay meant he wouldn’t get there till later in the evening.

I am delighted to report that our trip only got better from then on, and the stress of the last two days were forgotten in an instant as we drove under the Walt Disney World sign! We were spending Christmas at my favourite resort, Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa. We checked in and I could have cried with joy! Being one of our Home resorts, we have stayed at the Villas quite often, but nothing beats how magical the resort looks and feels during the Holidays.

Quinn and dashed to the Monorail, arrived at the Magic Kingdom at 8.20pm and merrily ran up Main Street to look for Peter Pan. My Little Peter Pan managed to surprise Peter Pan over in Adventureland, and it is one of my favourite memories to date! He ran into his arms for the sweetest of hugs and I cried with happiness. Every unfortunate event had led us to this moment and it was beyond precious. We had a magical night exploring with Peter Pan, met Rapunzel and Flynn, and Tiana and Naveen over at Princess Fairytale Hall with no wait, and Cinderella and Charming with a five minute wait. We also managed to grab some eggnog and festive treats including sugar cookies and snow cones. At the end of the evening, Quinn danced to Follow the Leader with Peter Pan and some Cast Members and experienced snow on Main Street for the first time. Our night couldn’t have been any more magical and we headed back to our room with the fullest of hearts.

The next morning, we were up early and headed to Trattoria al Forno’s Bon Voyage Breakfast over at Disney’s Boardwalk. We headed to Epcot from there, expecting the park to be busy being Christmas Eves Eve, but it was actually really quiet. We met up with some friends, rode some rides and met Mickey, Minnie and Pals over at Character Spot. We also met Belle in her Christmas dress over in France at the World Showcase, and she was just beautiful! Last stop was Disney’s Hollywood Studios to eat dinner at Minnies Holiday Dine. We aren’t the biggest fan of the food at Hollywood and Vine, but we loved meeting Mickey and Minnie, Daisy and Donald and Goofy in their Christmas outfits.

We had the most magical first two days and it hadn’t even reached Christmas Eve yet! The parks didn’t seem any busier than normal to us, but they did get busier on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. On my next post I will share the rest of our Christmas adventure. Are you spending Christmas at the Walt Disney World Resort? I would love to hear your plans!

An Evening At The Body Shop – Aberdeen Blogger Event

Last Friday I was invited along to The Body Shop, for an evening of pampering, shopping and to try out some new products with some fellow Bloggers. The Aberdeen branch hosted the after hours event, and gave us skin care and make-up consultations tailored to our needs and skin types. Fantastic hand massages were also on offer on the evening. This was the first local event I had attended as a new Blogger, and as I was quite nervous, I took my Mother in Law along for some much needed support. As it turns out, we had a wonderful night and everyone involved in bringing it together were just lovely! Today I’m going to write about our night, and what new skincare products I took home with me.

On arrival we were greeted with a goody bag (yay!), containing some lovely new products and samples. As soon as I saw the Fall for Pumpkin body butter I squealed with delight! I love everything pumpkin and as I imagined, this body butter is absolutely amazing! It smells like a dream and leaves your skin feeling really soft and nourished.

Processed with VSCO with al1 preset

After we were offered some drinks (a Starbucks Teavana Green Tea for me!), we were given an introduction to the Body Shop by the lovely staff members, as well as a run down on some of the evenings products and pampering available to us. The Body Shop is forever against animal testing and have helped ban animal testing in the UK. The company held a petition, which on the day had reached 8 million signatures! The Body Shop are now heading towards the United Nations, where they are aiming toward ending animal testing for good. How amazing is that!

After a browse of the store and picking up all the things for our baskets, both my Mother in Law and I had our own make-up consultation with the lovely Megan. She spent quite some time finding the right shade, and showing us how to perfectly apply our foundation.

Last but certainly not least, we tried the new 100% Vegan body yoghurts. They come in a variety of scents, from banana to Mango, each one smelling devine! We then headed home with our new products and a cute little Moringa body gift set free with our purchases. Thanks for a great night Body Shop, I already can’t wait for the next event which will be focused on Christmas, yay!

Five Reasons Why I Love Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort

I have been questioned a lot lately about The Villas at Grand Floridian Resort, so I thought I would share the top five reasons we repeatedly stay at my favourite resort. You may remember the post I wrote earlier on the benefits of Disney’s Vacation Club, and if you follow me on Instagram, you will know the love I have for this resort is like no other. Don’t get me wrong, I love our stays at each Disney Resort and wouldn’t swap them for the world, but there is something just so special about The Grand Floridian.

Processed with VSCO with e5 preset

1 Location

The Grand Floridian Resort is perfectly located across Seven Seas Lagoon from Disney’s Magic Kingdom. Right in the heart of the Walt Disney World Resort, it truly is magical to leave your room, hop on the Monorail one stop and arrive at our favourite park. The water taxi across Seven Seas Lagoon is also a great method of transport, with amazing view of Magic Kingdom and the other Monorail resorts, the Contemporary and the Polynesian. Almost just as quickly as you can get there, the Monoaril or Water Taxi transports your tired legs back to your room after a magical day. Situated right next door to Disney’s Polynesian Resort, the short pathway between the resorts can be used for a pleasant walk over to dine, or to just have a look around our next favourite Home resort.

2 Theming

I love the Grandier of the whole resort and how elegant it feels. The Lobby at both the Villas and main hotel are breathtaking and second to none, so timeless and just beautiful. The Mary Poppin’s themed fountain is a highlight in the Villa’s Lobby, as is the iconic high ceiling in the oversized Main Lobby. The bustling main Lobby is a magical place to relax and soak in the atmosphere with a drink, whilst listening to the grand piano and the jazz band play timeless Disney classics. During the Holiday’s the resort turns into a winter wonderland, fit with the most beautiful Christmas tree imaginable and a spectacular Gingerbread House. I cannot even begin to describe the amazing smells that fill the Lobby during this time of year, nor the pure joy of your child meeting Mickey and Minnie here in their festive outfits on Christmas Eve. The Grand Floridian sure is the resort where the magic lives! Not to be outdone, the Villa’s Lobby also decorates for the holidays, with a miniature Wonderland and Gingerbread House.

3 Rooms

The light and airy rooms continue the english inspired character feel, with luxurious finishes on the decor and furniture. The bathrooms are so roomy and we love the rain shower and of course the in mirror tv, who wouldn’t! The Villas also provide the pull down bed with the cutest Dumbo theme, which Quinn just adores. The balcony’s are so large and provide the most spectacular views over Seven Seas Lagoon and Magic Kingdom in the Theme Park Views, and over the Resort and the Monorail in Standard Vierw rooms. It really is one of the best feelings in the world to wake up, and open your door to see Cinderella Castle and the Monorail cruising past. So close in fact that on a windy morning or evening, and theres quite a few at this resort, you can hear the music from Main Street playing on your balcony! When the Welcome Show used to start your Magic Kingdom morning, you could hear Chief Smokey welcoming everyone to their happy place from the Main Street Station, sob!

4 Dining

Another reason I love the Grand Floridian is the dining options available at the resort. Its so vast and some of our favourite places to eat on Disney property are here. The Beaches Pool Bar and Grill and the Courtyard Pool Bar, serve some light snacks and meals perfect for eating poolside, or for taking back to your room. Gasparillas Island Grill is our favourite Resort Quick Service restaurant, and serves a variety of foods from pizza to burgers to salads, all freshly prepared while you wait. You may remember I wrote a post about the Grand Floridian Cafe, which is a great place to eat incredibly delicious breakfast or dinner in a relaxed atmosphere. A firm favourite of ours is of course 1900 Park Fare. The restaurant provides a character breakfast featuring Alice, Mad Hatter, Mary Poppins, Winnie the Pooh and Tigger. Come evening, you can dine with royalty as Cinderella, Prince Charming, Lady Tremaine and the evil stepsisters Anastasia and Drizzela join you for dinner. Park Fare is one of our favourite character dining experiences at the Walt Disney World Resort, and in my opinion has the best food out of all the buffet restaurants.

5 Recreation and Amenities

The Grand Floridian has two pools and an Alice in Wonderland themed kids water play area. Quinn has had so much fun playing here over the years, particularly with the Mad Haters Hat that dumps a crazy amount of water once its filled up! The Beachside pool is conveniently located close to the Villas, features a large waterfall, a slide and overlooks Seven Seas Lagoon. The Courtyard Pool is situated right at the centre of the resort and is the larger of the two. The hot tub is also located here. A family favourite of ours is of course the Electrical Water Pageant. The classic pageant can be viewed nightly from the resorts marina, which is also a magical location to view the Happily Ever After Fireworks.

Printkick Arts And Crafts Product Review

I was recently sent a wonderful package of arts and crafts products from Printkick to review. Of course I enabled some help from my Little Peter Pan who was delighted to assist and work on some arts and crafts during the summer holidays. Today I am going to talk a little about Printkick, what we were sent to review, and what we thought about each product.

Printkick are a small family business that started up in 2001, but have roots that date back to 1987. They primarily sell ceramics such as printed mugs to small businesses around the UK. With the launch of their new website, they have expanded their range to include kids arts and crafts products, which I’ll be reviewing today. Printkick have launched a new eco-friendly products range, which they are trying to grow to ensure that organisations are aware of their environmental impact and make better choices with their printed items. Their latest campaign with ADHD Foundation for neurodiversity won a lot of positive PR and accolades. You can read more here.

Quinn immediately chose the Wooden Glasses Painting Set and got to work on creating his master piece!

Processed with VSCO with e5 preset

Processed with VSCO with e5 preset

The glasses looked very appealing to children in the package, and had a great design. They were sturdy and big enough to be decorated, but not too big so that they would slide down his nose. The coloured pens that came with the glasses were great and enabled Quinn to create his own unique design. The glasses would appeal to a wide age range of children, and would be a perfect activity to bring whilst travelling on holiday. We thoroughly enjoyed this activity and Quinn said that on a scale from one to ten, he would give the product a ten for the fun he had.

The next product Quinn chose was the Colouring Magnetic Stickers, which came with four coloured pens.

Processed with VSCO with al1 preset

I really liked the look of these as although they were magnets, they weren’t too heavy but the side that could be coloured felt like a paper but was much more durable. Although the stickers came with five colouring pens, it felt enough and the colours seemed appropriate for the circus theme. It took Quinn a while to perfect his colouring, so it was a perfect rainy day activity. Once the stickers were coloured, they were easily popped away from the page, leaving an adorable magnet to be proudly displayed on the fridge.

Next up was the Backpack With 5 Markers.

Processed with VSCO with e5 preset

Processed with VSCO with e5 preset

Although the design and size of the bag was marketed toward younger children, Quinn really enjoyed making his own mark. I mean who wouldn’t want to let their imagination run wild and colour a backpack! When I first felt the backpack, I didn’t know how well the pen was going to stay on. It in fact dried in quite fast and despite a few smudge marks he made whilst colouring, it looked really nice! This would be another great activity to take on holiday, and it would be perfect for passing the time on a long haul flight.

Processed with VSCO with e5 preset

The one product that was sent for me, and I was very excited to try out was the Adult Drawing book.

Processed with VSCO with e5 preset

Processed with VSCO with e5 preset

I got sick so the book was a perfect distraction, and a great time to try my first colouring book since I was around Quinn’s age! The cute little set came with an intricate plant themed colouring book and twelve coloured pencils in a foldable holder, perfect for carrying around in your bag. I must say I found the colouring so relaxing and therapeutic and before I knew it, I had spent some time perfecting my work!

Processed with VSCO with e5 preset

Last but certainly not least, Quinn opened up his own Colouring Set with Notepad.

The children’s set came with the coloured pencils just like the adults version and a variety of designs to colour, with some blank pages toward the back of the notebook for doodling. Quinn could have spent hours neatly colouring the pages and it was lovely to see him so relaxed whilst taking time out of the sunshine we have been fortunate to have this summer.

Thanks so much to Printkick for these wonderful products, we had so much creative fun! Which was your favourite arts and crafts? Id love to hear from you!

Pixies Review Of Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue

After what felt like forever, we finally made it back to the Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue on our most recent Walt Disney World trip, and today I’m going to review our experience.

Situated at Disney’s Fort Wilderness resort and Campground, Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue is a dinner show like no other. Filled with toe tapping entertainment, laughs a plenty and more food than you know what to do with, it really is a Disney must do. So much so, that you probably will do it over and over again, this visit was our third!

Processed with VSCO with e5 preset

We attended the 8.30pm show on what felt like the most humid night ever. I don’t know anyone else’s thoughts, but it always feels really hot when we visit the Fort Wilderness resort! We met our friends Alan and Larry over at Pioneer Hall and got in line for the show, but not before Quinn took some shots with the Photopass of course! Our Little Peter Pan sure does like to take a picture! The dinner show is a 2 credit table service restaurant on the Disney dining plan, and also accepts a Tables in Wonderland discount of  20%. You can collect your tickets for Hoop-Dee-Doo in advance at any Walt Disney World Concierge desk, or on the evening at the Pioneer Hall box office, 40 minutes prior to the show. As any other reservation on property, allow yourself plenty time to travel to the destination.

Once the doors are open, the line moves really fast and you are taken to your table for the evenings show. The show offers 3 different view tiers, Catagory 1 being the main floor and where the performers occasionally venture out into the crowd and interact with some of the audience. Categories 2 and 3 being that little further back and up in the balcony seating area. We chose the Category 1 seating area, and although we were sat further back than previous shows, we still had a fantastic centre view. The three part show corresponds with your eating periods, and your server wastes no time in taking your unlimited drink order, before bringing out your tossed green salad and some yummy cornbread to start with. While you get to work, the evening entertainment begins as Claire de Lune, Johnny Ringo, Dolly Drew, Six Bits Slocum, Flora Long and Jim Handy enter the hall and introduce themselves with their first number. Although we have seen the show before, it always remains up to date with the performers fresh jokes and mishaps making Hoop-De-Doo just as enjoyable on a repeat visit.

Processed with VSCO with e5 preset

Processed with VSCO with e5 preset

The all you care to enjoy feast doesn’t stop there, next up comes the crispy fried chicken, smoked bbq ribs and some sides of cowboy beans, mashed potatoes and seasonal vegetables. Part of the entertainment is your server bringing the food to your table in pails, and banging them down on your plate! Like me, Quinn is quite a picky eater, so he ordered the children’s alternative of chicken nuggets and fries. The frontier humour and high energy entertainment keeps you turning in your seat and the two hour show flys by!

Processed with VSCO with e5 preset

Last but certainly not least comes my favourite part of Hoop-Dee-doo, Strawberry Shortcake. The all singing, all dancing (see what I did there!) dessert is one of my favourites at Walt Disney World. Its so special, it even has its own song! Served with lashings of cream and strawberry sauce, it really is a treat you don’t want to miss. With dessert also comes the end of the show and a grand finale, which Quinn loves the most. A foot stomping, napkin waving finale that allows you to make as much noise as possible so why wouldn’t he love it!

If you haven’t already been, get yourself over to Hoop-Dee-Doo for a wonderful evening of family fun. We wont leave it so long until our next visit!

The Magic Of The Fringe Festival With Little Ones

Last week Quinn and I took a day trip on the train to Edinburgh’s Festival Fringe, meeting up with our friends Amy and Livvy from Cocktails in Teacups and Livvy Bird Adventures . We had a wonderful time and today I’m going to talk about what we got up to at the kids first Fringe experience.

Processed with VSCO with e8 preset

Our main reason for our trip to the festival, was to see American High School Theatre Festival and Providence Day School’s production of Peter and the Starcatcher at Central Hall in Edinburgh’s West Tollcross. I had previously read the 2004 Dave Barry and Ridley Pearson novel to Quinn, and couldn’t wait to see what he thought of the play. Our Never Land loving duo had been looking forward to it for weeks, and were so excited they basically flew to the venue!

Processed with VSCO with e6 preset

Processed with VSCO with e5 preset

The group of aspiring young talent from the United States were amazing and each character was researched and played to an absolute tee. The production, a prequel to Peter Pan, told the story of an orphan boy who ultimately became Peter Pan. The orphan boy who in the absence of a mother was never given a name, meets Molly and together with his friends find themselves on a heroic mission to save the world and a treasure chest filled with magical star stuff from the evil and greedy Pirate Black Stache. Filled with adventure and mystery, pirate battles and plenty laughs, both us adults and kids were fully entertained and drawn in from beginning right to the end.

Processed with VSCO with e8 preset

Next we paid a visit to Edinburgh’s vibrant Grassmarket, situated in Edinburgh’s Old Town and filled with restaurants, vintage shops and views of Edinburgh Castle to die for. Amy reccomended a pizza establishment she had perviously eaten at, and the kids were delighted at the prospect of pizza added to their day! Mamma’s American Pizza was founded by Angus MacInnes, a canadian actor who who famously played Y-Wing Pilot Gold Leader in Star Wars:episode IV:A New Hope and Rogue One. Their handmade, fresh stonebaked pizzas really are from another galaxy!

Processed with VSCO with e8 preset

After eating far too much pizza, we made our way to the Royal Mile. The kids were absolutely amazed to see the bustling streets filled with Fringe groups, street performers, living statues, buskers and pipers. We saw some stilt walkers, Stormtroopers and even Yoda, who the kids couldn’t believe was flying! We met quite a lot of characters which Quinn loved and of course wanted to take his photograph with! With so much going on, we felt they were both a little overwhelmed, and headed to Ross Fountain over in west Princes Street Gardens and the park for a little run around. The fountain had just undergone a restoration and looked beautiful with its newly painted blue colour scheme.

Processed with VSCO with e8 preset

Processed with VSCO with e6 preset

We ended our adventure filled day, with a walk along Princes Street. Here we watched some more street performers together, before making our way to the train station and saying our heartfelt goodbyes. We had such a wonderful day, but it just wasn’t quite long enough to soak in the amazing atmosphere the Fringe has to offer. We will definitely be returning next year, this time for the weekend so we can add a few more shows from our wishlist.

The Beauty of Disney’s Boardwalk Resort

Our little family had such a lovely stay at Disney’s Boardwalk Villa’s on our most recent trip. Today, I’m going to talk about the planning involved during the lead up to our visit, and our amazing room we stayed in once we got there.

Processed with VSCO with l9 preset

Since joining the Disney Vacation Club back in 2014, we have been so caught up in spending time at our favourite home resorts, we often forget the many other great resorts Walt Disney World has to offer. We had been looking to pay Boardwalk another visit for a while , so at the 7 month window opportunity, we swapped our Animal Kingdom Lodge stay over for a trip back to the Boardwalk Villas. You may remember me talking earlier about our last stay at Boardwalk during our first Welcome Home stay. This was prior to the room renovations that have now taken place and I was so excited to see the results.

Before we leave the UK, we like to put a room request in at the resorts we will be staying at during the trip. I love to plan ahead (me? never haha!) and I feel that we spend so much time and money organising our stay, we may aswell request a room/floor/location which we would like to stay in. For this stay, we booked a Boardwalk view studio and spent what felt like forever studying and deciding on the perfect room! You just never can tell when we will ever get that opportunity to stay at a non home resort again,so it is totally worth it! DVC are usually really good at allocating your room request and we could’nt have been happier with ours this visit.

We had already checked in online and received our room number via email , so upon arrival we stopped at the front desk to collect our Magicband’s and headed straight to our room. I forgot how long the Boardwalk’s corridors were and the suspense was killing me as we walked and walked! Finally we reached room and true to tradition, our Little Peter Pan opened the door. I almost cried when I took a couple of steps inside and saw Spaceship Earth shining gloriously through the curtains. I got an instant fashback to our lake view room at the Villas at Grand Floridian that looked straight on to Magic Kingdom. Our favourite room that we have ever stayed in to date!

Processed with VSCO with al1 preset

The refurbished room was so bright and pleasant, a total opposite to what it once was. It looked so fresh and the addition of the fold down sleeper was a great addition for our family, as it meant we didn’t have to make up the sofa for Quinn to sleep on each night. He tells us they are so comfortable and the adorable design varies at each resort, Dumbo being the theme at the Boardwalk Villa’s. Although the balcony’s at the resort are quite small, its amazing to sit and take in the atmosphere of the busy Boardwalk, with its restaurants, stores and evening entertainment. Disney’s Yaucht and Beach Club Resort and Epcot was also in view, which meant we could see Illuminations;Reflections of Earth and also Happy Ever After from afar!

Hopefully we won’t leave it too long until our next stay at Boardwalk Villa’s, next up is our stay at Animal Kingdom Lodge over Christmas and Bay Lake Tower over New Year’s.

The Magic Of Rapunzel. Aberdeen Panto Review

What better way to celebrate Christmas in July than with an all singing, all dancing Pantomime. Oh no it isn’t! I hear you say. Oh yes it is!

I was invited along to review Joseph Purdy’s production of Rapunzel last night at the Tivoli Theatre. The summer Panto has toured the UK, before making its last four day stop here in Aberdeen. My Little Peter Pan was so excited, and of course couldn’t wait to dress in his Flynn Rider outfit for the occasion.

The show put its own twist to the classic fairytale, entertaining both adults and kids alike. The diversity in characters ranged from the funny Chester, who provided laughs a plenty and hillarious audience interaction, to the glamorous Queen Passionella with her show stealing outfits. Horabella executed wicked perfectly, along with some incredible vocals. Quinn’s favourite character of the evening, Britain’s got Talent’s winner George Sampson, danced his way to Rapunzel’s heart as Prince George. Ten years on from his Singing in the Rain routine, we were wowed again by his impeccable moves. The cast wore some outstanding outfits that were definitely a highlight for me.

New and old songs had us singing along, with maybe a little dance or two from my Little Peter Pan! The usual feel good, festive atmosphere and lots of local dialect was definitely present, showcasing that Pantomimes aren’t just for Christmas. Sixty two local children were cast and did an outstanding job, lighting up the stage with their talents. Never during the performance did the family filled audience get restless, which was testament to how well the cast did to engage and keep us wanting more.

Processed with VSCO with al1 preset

Our family thoroughly enjoyed our evening, and I would highly recommend Rapunzel for the perfect summer holiday day out. Here at the Tivoli until this Sunday, you can purchase your tickets through Aberdeen Performing Arts at the Box Office.

Joseph Purdy Productions will also be back again in Aberdeen with the Uk tour of The Wizard of Oz on the 25th, 26th and 28th of October, and I for one can’t wait!

Thanks for reading and remember “True love will win the day”

The Grandest Breakfast At The Grand Floridian Cafe

Out of all our stays at the Grand Floridian Resort, for some reason we had never eaten breakfast at the Grand Floridian Cafe. Having enjoyed dinner there several times, a breakfast at this hidden gem was well overdue. The Grand Floridian Cafe is a beautiful, timeless table service restaurant overlooking the gardens at the back of the resort. I love to eat here as its often quiet, has a relaxed atmosphere and due to its size you can usually book an on the day reservation.

On the day of our breakfast we had mid morning plans over at Magic Kingdom, so made an 8am reservation. Upon arrival, the restaurant was fairly quiet and we were taken straight to our table. We were then greeted by our lovely server who took our drinks order and left us with the menus to look over. Quinn ordered the kids milk, myself a cup of English Breakfast tea and Kevin a regular coffee.

The Grand Floridian boasts an impressive menu choice for both the adults and kids, so much so that I didn’t know what to order! While we were debating over the menu, our server brought out a plate of warm biscuits accompanied with some maple syrup. They were absolutely delicious and it didn’t take very long for them to disappear from our table!

We were finally ready to place our order and our food came quite swiftly. Our Little Peter Pan decided on the Minnie’s Grand Cake which was a huge mouse shaped pancake, accompanied with some Mickey sprinkles. Quinn said his pancake was delicious, but of course he didn’t manage to eat it all as it was such a huge portion!

I  chose the Old Fashioned Buttermilk Pancakes which came served with my choice of bacon. I also opted for the add on enhancement of banana, chantilly cream and caramel sauce. I instantly regretted this decision when I saw how how big my portion was, but the pancakes were just amazing and I gave it a fair shot!

Kevin chose the Steak and Eggs which came served with a cheesy hash brown casserole and house made steak sauce. He was so impressed he said that it was the best breakfast he had ever had, not just on Disney property, anywhere!

Needless to say we left with full stomachs after our delightful breakfast. I would thoroughly recommend the Grand Floridian Cafe breakfast for a relaxing, slow paced breakfast filled with a variety of fresh cooked food. Its also a nice alternative for those families who prefer a non character or buffet breakfast. My mouth is watering as I type this and I can’t wait for our Christmas trip to come around so we can visit again!

Shop Small With The Most Magical Little Brands

As much as I love shopping the latest Disney merchandise for my Little Peter Pan and I, I also love to shop small. Smaller stores that you can find on Instagram, Facebook and Etsy, are so unique and often create custom products. This last trip to Walt Disney World, we were lucky to rep and support some of our favourite unique brands. Some local and not so local to us, but always made with love and magic. Here are some of the wonderful products we received and where you can find them.

If you follow my Instagram page, you will know how much I love and wear the wonderful Nickey Ears Co ears. I love representing Nickey Ears Co, as they truly are the most beautifully made floral ears and are the most comfortable to wear.

Nikki surprised us with these matching Peter Pan and Tinker Bell inspired ears, the Animator figures adding the perfect little touch. Quinn adores the Disney Animators Collection Little’s Micro Collectibles from the Disney Store Uk and was desperate to find the Peter Pan figure to match the others he already had. He was over the moon to unbox his pair and my pair also featured my favourite thing, a bow which had my name written across it too!

Processed with VSCO with a6 preset

These amazing Tinker Bell inspired ears were probably my favourite to wear on the trip. I mean, how magical can one pair of ears get?! They remind me so much of another Tink inspired pair I already own and the wings are just beautiful. I wore them on my birthday, which also happened to be Peter Pan’s 65th anniversary blu-ray edition release date. Magic Kingdom were hosting a celebratory Peter Pan pre-parade and the ears received so many compliments that day.

Disney Vacation Club means so much to our little family and I was super excited to unbox these gorgeous inspired ears. The colour of the flowers are perfect and it was beyond wonderful to showcase Nikki’s talent and my Disney Vacation Club pride around the parks and resorts.

Last but not least, these Princess inspired rose gold ears are so pretty and could be paired with almost every outfit I brought with me on our Walt Disney World trip. I wore these the most as they are so simple, but yet stunning.

Nautical Nautilus Apparel are a new clothing brand that create the cutest tees. Their magical inspired designs include Never Land, The Lion King, Mary Poppins, Alice in Wonderland and Pirates of the Caribbean. I loved wearing my Wildflower tee Katy and Josh sent me for breakfast at 1900 Park Fare. Alice loved it so much she asked to take a picture with me, before the Mad Hatter photobombed! My Rain or Shine tee was practically perfect for our Grand Floridian stay and I couldn’t recommend the comfort of Nautical Nautilus tees enough!

My Little Peter Pan reps for the super cute clothing brand, Cami and Chlo. Their magic inspired tees are available in both adult’s and kid’s sizes and are just precious. Home of the original It’s a Small’s World tee, Cami and Chlo have designs to suit the whole family. Quinn adores the Yo Ho Yo Ho a Disney Life for Me tee, just don’t tell Peter Pan!

Processed with VSCO with v8 preset

Dreaming All Magic Pins is a small UK based brand, that create and ship Worldwide the most beautiful Disney inspired pins. I feel so lucky to rep for Naomi and her cute collection. Before we left for our trip, I received the first pin available to order, the rose gold Ariel Mermaid pin. She is a beauty and I was so happy to wear her along with my Ariel inspired outfit to the Bon Voyage breakfast at Trattoria Al Forno.

Do you have any favourite small shops? Feel free to share them with me, I would love to see your magically inspired apparel and products!
